While astronomers have yet to assign an affectionate nickname to this nebula, I've decided to dub it the Goliath (actual designation is SH 2-115), just because of the gigantic complex of bubbling filaments. taking a closer look towards the top, you can see finer structural details of pillars bathed in a sea of nebulous gasses.

This is a faint emission nebula located in the Cygnus constellation, just a few degrees northwest of Deneb, the brightest star in the constellation. The small round patch of emission nebulosity (SH 2-116) was initially designated a planetary nebula, but has recently been re-categorized as an emission Nebula.

• Stacking: Astro Pixel Processor
• Editing: Photoshop, Starnet++
• Total Exposure: 20 hours
